JS: IL96M je sešrotovaná historie z 90-tých let. Dnes všechny IL96, i nákladní, používají výhradně ruské motory.

Letoun této verze má ruské motory PS-90A, ovšem verze IL-96M má motory americké, konkrétně PW2337. Co se týče nákladních verzí, tak zatím americké PW2337.
