27.01. Short very early morning fuel stop on the way from Dubaj via Prague and Gander to Baltimore. This Gulfstream III c/n (built 1982) together with c/n 313 (reg. N173PA) is operated by Phoenix Air Group, Inc. at Cartersville, GA, used mostly for ambulance and cargo flights. The aircraft is equipped with large cargo door on the right side for this purposes. The company has a large fleet of Cessna Citation, Gulfstream I and Learjet 36 aircrafts, used for military or navy e.g. for target towing. Both aircraft were bought from Royal Danish Air Force, where flew until the end of 2004 with F-249 and F-313 tactical codes, the repainted former DAF c/s and military marks still visible.
