Ostrava Showcases New Cargo Route to Kazakhstan

On Friday, March 29, Ostrava Airport took to its Instagram account to announce the introduction of a new regular cargo route from Leoš Janáček Airport to Almaty, Kazakhstan. The airport further stated that the route will operate once a week using Boeing 767 cargo aircraft operated by Uzbek carrier MyFreighter.

MyFreighter aircraft are regular visitors to Ostrava Airport, flying in from Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. Data from the Flightradar24 server indicates that approximately two dozen cargo flights have taken place over the past 90 days along the Tashkent – Ostrava route, operated by Boeing aircraft belonging to the Uzbek carrier. Currently, the carrier's fleet includes three cargo 767s (registered UK67009, UK67010, and UK67015). The latter of the mentioned aircraft is notable among spotters as a "retrojet" previously operated by the German airline Condor under registration D-ABUM throughout its service in Germany. It underwent conversion to cargo configuration in recent months.
