The second B727-200F in USA Jet Airlines fleet received recently the new attractive colours of the airline and the technicians maintained it during my visit at Willow Run Airport.
Traffic at Detroit - Willow Run Airport is very variable. This B767-300BDSF of Amerijet International brought cargo last night from Miami to Bratislava. As during today´s departure it rotated way too early and clouds covered the sun, I decided for this for me unusual crop.
Canadian North has also small technical base at Ottawa airport, therefore I was pleased during my short visit by the ferry departure of this Boeing 737-300 in classic colours of the carrier.
I not only did not plan to visit the small airport Oakland County in Michigan State, I even did not know about it. However, when people at Detroit Willow Run airport told me about the technical base of IFL Group based there, I decided to pay a visit. As a reward two Boeing 727s not only awaited me behind the fence, moreover they both departed during my visit.
On the day of my departure home in beautiful sunny weather I decided to visit just for a short while Ottawa airport, about 2 hours drive from Montreal through beautiful Canadian countryside. My primary target was this logojet of Canadian North, promoting travel agency specializing in luxury cruise sails.
Air Inuit uses for flights from Montreal besides classic -200s also somehow newer Boeing 737-300s, although aircraft C-GFFN with its 32 years is also not the youngest.
While in our region aircraft like Jetstream practically completely disappeared from the skies, you can still meet few of them in Canada, for example Jetstream 32 of Pascan Aviation at Montreal - Saint-Hubert airport, although majority of them already frame parking aprons of the airport with their fate sealed.
This DHC-8 of Air Inuit also belongs to rare visitors, which can be seen among big airports exclusively in Montreal, otherwise it operates mainly between small communities with hardly pronounced names in Nunavik province.
Montreal is, unlike Toronto, visited also by many regional aircraft, which already almost disappeared in Europe, for example Air Creebec operates here frequently with their DHC8-100s and DHC8-300s.
