On Tuesday afternoon, July 9, a Boeing 737-800 operated by Egyptair landed at Vaclav Havel Airport, marking the inaugural flight of the revived Prague–Cairo route. This route was last operated by Czech Airlines over a decade ago.
Direct flights from Cairo will now operate three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, using the Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Several years ago, Egyptair attempted to operate Prague–Hurghada route, which ended unsuccessfully. For those flights, the airline used Airbus A220 aircraft, a type it now plans to phase out from its fleet.
